Resolved Question: Can one be accepted into a private university if they only have a G.E.D.?

I recently graduated from community college with a 3.6 gpa and I am ready to transfer; however, I only have a G.E.D. not a high school diploma. Could I still be accepted into a private university or a prestigious public university?
