In January 2010, a hair cutter/stylist Amber Little, employed by Cost Cutters, a Division of the Regis Corporation (world's largest hair salon chain with over 13000 stores) was fired after 3 1/2 years of service for not being able to sell hair care products equaling 15% of their hair cutting revenue. Amber is next in line to receive a Habitat for Humanity house in Tompkins County. Her termination jeopardizes the house that she's put over 500 hours sweat equity into. Amber has begun to stand up, as have other workers, to protest the unfair policy, for all workers, and the termination that she has experienced.
